LAGO FLUTE QUARTET

Lago Flute Quartet was founded in the fall of 2003 at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Lago recently collaborated with physicist Daniel Bock to create a unique 'Light Show' (currently patent pending) using light emiting diode (LED) technology. Lago's debut album, '...beginnings," was released in October 2005.

In early summer 2005, the group toured Chile for two weeks, performing in Santiago and at the Fourth International Flute Festival of Chile in Osorno. Lago performed in March 2005 for the Royal Family of Qatar at the Inaugural Gala of Carnegie Mellon's campus in Education City, Qatar. In August 2004, Lago performed in the Gala Concert at the National Flute Convention in Nashville, TN.

Other honors include finishing as a semi-finalist in the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition 2004 and 2005 and guest appearances at the Greater Boston Flute Association and the Pittsburgh Flute Club Conventions.
